We congratulate Dr Michisato Toyoda of the Department of Physics, Osaka University,
for winning the 2003 Curt Brunnee Award. The award, which carries a research
prize of $25,000 (US) is made "For outstanding contributions to the development
of instrumentation for mass spectrometry by a person under the age of 45 at the
time of the award"
Previous winners of the award are Dr. Gareth Brenton, Swansea, 1994,Prof. Michael
Guilhaus, University of New South Wales, 1997, and Prof.Scott McLuckey, Purdue
